After the unexpected break, we recently welcomed students back from 20th to 31st July. It was great to see yacht engineers, ETOs and aspiring AV/IT officers return. Students enjoyed three classes back-to-back, teaching fundamentals of IP networks, satellite communications and AV systems.
A redesigned training facility saw students sat further apart, with desk screens where appropriate. We also adapted our training methods and hygiene procedures to minimise Coronavirus transmission risks.
During the break, we continued development of our dedicated UK training facility. We’ve invested in additional lab equipment, student laptops and updated the main AV distribution to 4K. Our “Aladdin’s cave” of superyacht tech continues to expand!
We closed with an updated version of our AV@SEA class. We also welcomed Oliver Hall, founder of Ultamation, to our AV training team.
